supercharger question

I just purchased a 2007 f150 HD with the 5.4 SC. I have never owned a SC vehicle before, and I am wondering what normal maintenance and or things I should be checking. The truck has 66k miles on it and I had it serviced, oil etc, but did not know if there was something else I should be checking?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Read the manual and get a Ford service manual. The s/c needs a special oil and it should be checked as often as the motor oil

While aI am not sure what special oil it has to use. I do own the only model that came Factory supercharged from VW. And from my expriance is SC's like clean oil and clean air. Don't skimp on the intervals for changing if you use oil that say good for 5000 miles, change it every 3 months or 3000 miles. Contaminats in the oil and air are what wear the parts.

What is the brand name of the supercharger?
I agree you need to check it like you do your motor oil but most companies do not recommend changing it 3 to 5K miles...lol
Go with whatever the manufacturer the blower recommends to use and change intervals.

Ya they will also have an oil that they recomind to run through it, my KB takes a streight 50 weight full synthetic oil that needs to be changed every 10 to 15k miles.
