force fed 460
Right now I have a mid-late 80's FI truck block, heads, and crank (would the truck crank be a steel crank?) and am going to (eventually) put it in my 1970 f350. I would be building the engine over the course of several years, and would like to to invest a few thousand bucks in the engine to rebuild it as a N/A and be able to drive it while I save up for a force feeder.
So, when I do my rebuild, what comp ratio should I aim for? I don't want to have to redo my shortblock to run a force feeder, so what should I do at this stage?.
The end goal would be between 4 and 500 hp while I have it N/A and 700 something when I put the force feeder on there.
I have been told that a pair of worked over stock iron heads (full port and polish, ss valves, ect) will work good for this.
What type of pistion would do good here?
intake?
cam?
I am sure I forgot to add something in here, but that's all I can think of.
Thanks in advance.
