Factory floor mat interchangability

Hello , was wondering if any of you fellas might know if the 67-72 f100 -250 trucks carry the same full cover factory color key mats as the 65-6 custom cab trucks. What I want to know is are they the same part no. ? jim

Are you asking for the one piece rubber floor mat?

Or, the one piece vinyl floor mat that was an accessory and was installed over the rubber floor mat to protect it?

Is your truck 2WD or 4WD? If it's 4WD, what year and series is it? Is it an F350?

Does is have a 4 speed manual transmission?

Lotta questions, right? This info is necessary, because without it...I can't look up the correct part numbers in the '64/72 Ford truck parts catalog.

btw: If you have found one of the rubber floormats NOS, it may not be any good. These came rolled up in a box. Age, humidity and/or hot weather can cause them to become hard, brittle and then they crack.

Take it oughtta the box and unroll it, you may find a few cracks, or it might roll out in a gazillion hard little pieces.

C5TZ8113010AUAD .. Custom Cab Floor Mat-Green with Black speckles.

Fits: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD with 3 speed manual or A/T.

The black speckled floor mats (green/blue/tan/red) were only used 1965/66, but the solid color black mat fits: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD & 1967/79 F100/350 2WD all w/3 speed manual or A/T.

Any 1967/79 solid color mat fits the same applications. However you have to be careful when buying one. Make sure it's for a 3 speed manual or A/T. The 4 speeds and 4WD's will have holes cut in the mat for the shifters.

Remember what I said...if you find one of these mats NOS, it may not be any good. Have whoever is selling it remove it from the box, lay it flat and take close up pictures of both sides of it...before you buy or bid on it!

The replacement floor mats usually did not come with the jute backing, but this stuff can be bought from any auto upholstery shop.

btw: I might be able to locate a NOS floor mat, but...do not buy it until you are sure it's OK.

Thank you NumberDummy for checking on this for me. If you locate one,I'd be very interested, you can bank on me having it checked out thoroughly with plenty of pics. Rubber mats can snap like potato chips when they get old. Again many thanks, jim

If the truck in your avatar is yours, do you really want a green floor mat?

I suspect the truck has been repainted. With a red and white exterior, it would have had a red or tan interior. Never seen a green interior with this combo.

What colors would you like..if not green? Red, tan...or black?

No Bill, I have two different 1965 piles of misery. The red& white I've had since 1985,the caribbean turquoise,I located 4yrs ago. I need the green & black mat definitely. The red& black mat in the avatar is in fair condition, but would gladly take another. Unless something drastic happens, I plan on keeping both pickups. Most of my stuff is not measured in years that I've had it but decades....

Tell me about it...I had the same rolling pile of misery (1965 F100 2WD) from March 1965 (bought it new) thru November 2009. I have some 'irons' that I've had for decades.

My '65 was a standard cab, but I removed the black mat, installed the blue speckled mat since I had a blue interior. I did that in 1965, btw.

I doubt anyone will have a green speckled mat (or a red speckled mat), would you settle for just green (and red)?

EDIT: No Ford Dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either one..

Fits: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD with 3 speed manual or A/T.

The black speckled floor mats (green/blue/tan/red) were only used in 1965/66, but the solid color black mat fits:

1965/66 F100/250 2WD & 1967/79 F100/350 2WD all w/3 speed manual or A/T. Any 1967/79 solid color mat with these same applications will fit 1965/66 F100/250 2WD.
So, my question is...if I can find a solid green and/or red floor mat, would you be interested in it?
