power brake conversion

hey guys. need to update and upgrade the brakes a little. i want to put a dual mater cylinder on my 66 shortbedd f100 now that its my daily driver. i also want to install a booster so my little wife can stop it on the rare occasion she needs to drive it. anyway...
i pulled a booster of a bump side this afternoon. the junkyard had it labeled as a 69 but it had a 67 grill. the door was gone so i couldnt check the tag. also didnt want to crawl around and look at the frame vin. it didnt appear to have front side markers but it did have reflectors in the rear. enigne didnt help becasue some had swapped in a late model 351 modified. the master cylinder had already been removed.
i started doing some part cross referencing and i realized there appears to be a difference in booster and master cyclinder between 67 and other years. my question is does anyone know if what fits what with what? and how i can tell what year booster i have? i assume that i shoul dbe able to finad away to swap this on to my 66 as most things seem to be interchangable to some degree (i have a 73 power steering setup with customized 70 steering column etc.)

i.e. can i use a master from a 67 on a 69 booster or vice versa? if not, whats the difference?

Grab yourself a 73-76 if you have a FE, 73-79 for 302 or I6 donor pickup. You want the engine tranny setup to match existing, or what you want yours to be, and swap the I-beams, steering gear, other brake parts and have factory engineered power disc brakes and steering.

I have bought several donors, sold parts that I didn't use for more that my purchase price making this a very respectable method of upgrading.

Most every thread posted with problems come from those choosing getting a part here and there.

im already runnig power steerin. gear is from a 73 f-250, im covered there. i dont mind the drums. someday ill covert to discs (i have a pi crown vic fron end with 15,000 miles on it sitting next to the garage), but its a few years down the road. for now i just need a decent slightly safer driver. well tuned drums work fine fir me as i dont drive enough or tow enough that fading is an issue. i thought the bumpside stuff would be an easier swap than dent side stuff so thats why i grabbed the booster. i would replace the master anyway so not having one fomr the junkyard doesnt bother me. i really just need to figure out what i haeve and buy a remanned master to match it. ther master is sitting one the trucks engine in the junkyard. would you suggest i go grab it even though im going to replace it?

1967 only: Master cylinder, brake booster, proportioning valves, brake/clutch pedals, bracket under the dash they hang from.

And a lotta other stuff. 1967's may look like 1968/72's, but looks can be deceiving.
