Drill a 3/8 hole in the safety latch on the end below the sheet metal. Insert cheep lock of sufficient size to not come back through the hole. Hood can pop all it wants but never open. simple and 100 percent effective.

That is what I did and it also deters anyone else who might want to look under your hood by chance.
