Battery minder

Just wondering. Does anyone here use any of these products? I'm thinking about getting one and pluging it in at night.

To maintain, and keep a good constant charge on the batteries.

I wouldn't bother unless you let your truck sit idle for long periods of time.

This is the one that I use when I know my vehicle will be sitting for a few days. On there site it's 52.50. I found it on Amazon for 34.95 (Waterproof 800 International). I have it mounted behind the grill (It's Waterproof) and the cord comes out by the tow hook.

I've been thinking of installing one of these (or a similar device) mainly for use in the winter. I would probably only use it when I have the block heater plugged-in. The charging process from the Battery Minder should warm the batteries as well as top off the charge.

Yes in the winter my batteries are always warm while connected. I have mine mounted behind the grill the opposite side of zoodad mod. Here in Fl the winters are not bad except last winter is was in the low teens at night for a long time. We had broken and frozen pipes all all my property. Even had the fireplace going for days..The Sunshine State.lol

Since your batteries are connected in parallel...just hook it to the primary battery terminals (passenger side)...I use Deltran Battery Tender plus. Usually in winter, or if the truck will be sitting for more than 3 days without starting.

That is what I was kind of thinking about. I feel like in might be a good investment, not only to help prolong battery life, but also protect the FICM from getting to stressed from cold battries trying to produce the nessecary power for the induction heating.
