I am trying to replace the horseshoe shaped piece of the ignition. I have everything off the steering column except for tilt mechanism which is preventing me from sliding the square part into the guide.
I have been stuck on this for a few hours and really need some guidance.
Been 3 or 4 years since I tore into mine with tilt too, I remember having to study it up though and I'm pretty sure that I had to take the tilt off....but be careful because there are springs in there too.
Hopefully someone with paperwork or a better memory comes along soon and can help you out, I'm not even sure where my old haynes book is to see if it's of any help.
