Mishimoto Intercooler
Has anybody looked into these guys for an upgraded intercooler? Mishimoto
Ford F250 w/ 6.0L Powerstroke Intercooler, 2003-2006, by Mishimoto
Looks like they only make one for the 6.0, but plenty of guys are doing the conversion. I like the idea of having alum. end tanks not the cheap plastic ones.
1/2 price of the Spearco & Banks intercoolers...maybe a chinese knockoff and 1/2 the performance too...dunno.
What do you guys think???

I've heard good things about them from a few places, but it seems they are pretty new to the market so not much info out there yet. I also see them advertising radiators in dirt bike magazines now.

Mishimoto is top notch stuff. They have been in the import scene for years. Even mentioned in the original fast and furious.
I did a mishimoto rad and double fan setup in a mr2 and the fitment was great

Thanks superduty4x4 and rat49f6. I also noticed the import car and dirt bike stuff. I like their idea of reinforcing the radiators on the dirt bike stuff, rather than relying on extra braces.

Can someone post the core size of the 6.0L stock intercooler? Just the core nothing else.
My stock 7.3L measures 30x18x2.5 or 1350 ci
The Mishimoto 6.0L spec's are 25.5x21x2.5 or 1338 ci ~12ci less

I think I am gonna write off the 6.0 intercooler all together for now.
The stock 6.0 is about 134 ci less (1350 vs 1216 ci) than my 7.3 IC, even if it does have high flow end tanks.

Something seems off about ur measurements I did a 6.0 cooler abd its much taller than the 7.3 unit

Yes it is taller, 3" taller. But its also narrower by 4.25 to 4.5" both the aftermarket and stock IC by the numbers given.
