I'm sure mounting a divorced 205 wouldn't be too difficult.

I might just have a divorced 205 too. Gonna scrap out a 76 highboy that the body is completely trashed on. It's got the whole motor, frame and running gear that are in good shape though.

None will be a direct bolt on deal. But with the cross member and the 205 could be a easy swap.

I find it crazy that its a divorced tcase in that shorty pickup of urs. Rear shaft must be tinny.

back then half tons were divorced cases too? didn't know that.you actually might want to work something out with karl. i believe it was on here, a guy was trying to find one because he had a 203 or something, and it turns out he searched half the damn country and it took him a few months at least just to find a few. there aren't a lot of highboys left, and the ones that are still around are usually restored or too far gone to be of any use to anyone. now add to that, you need the crossmember and possibly the drivestafts too(all three)

Yeah but va is a long as way from az lol, plus theres lots of 4x4s out here to sift through. Im also having a hell of a time with my fuel sending unit, I planed on a universal one but mine has a fuel pickup tube and universals dont lol. Its also a bolt in unit, aftermarket and ive searched all over the net and havent found one thats the same.

Than you have to swap tail housing and output shaft on the tranny to get a different Tcase.. Or just swap in a complete different Np435/T18 and a Np205

k, well any NP 435 from a 76-up 4x4 pickup(married of course) should work, and you will be able to bolt a NP 205 tcase behind it..

Yep, sure does. Different than the D20 that was in the early broncos too. I don't remember the spline count on the out put shaft but its not the 31 it needs for the 203s/205s and all the newer cases. It might have a 28 spoline shaft on there, but for some reason, I think its not. I'm drawin a blank on the D21 right now tho. I just know no other tcase will bolt in its place.
