The most accurate answer I can muster is "Not easily." The transfer case outer casing is physically different. The electronics are more intricate than just a switch in the dashboard and an electronic case. There is a separate control module and the ECM needs the information from that module to adjust engine (and transmission shift in the E4OD) operational parameters between 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive.
With all that said, anything is possible. Enough time and money will get you anything you want. A donor truck would be the place to start because there is a good deal of electronic equipment in addition to the t-case that will be needed.
Most of the owners actually want to go the other way, and the reason is simple: The electronic shifter motor attached to the TC is expensive (around $150 last time I checked) and can fail at the worst times. Definitely not worth the hassle.
