From LonePine thru mammoth the Sierra Nev mtns on the east are spectacular lake / creek camping/
If going up 395 and north of Bishop. % mi N of Bishop you climb this hugeass grade into the Mammoth Mtn Lakes area.
BTWWhen you get abt 5 mi N of Bishop there are Hot Springs ,fidhing camps and lots more creeks and lakes in a less steep area than that mentioned south of this location.
Irs beautiful and not crowded from LonePine clear north to Bridgeport.
If youve got the time to drive there you wont be sorry.
