We spent the weekend camping at Babcock State Park. I learned a while back that Babcock is not far from Bill (Rebild) lives. I let him know we were going to be there this weekend, and sure enough, Guess who shows up this morning to visit with my truck! Yep, that's right, Bill! We just sat around and talked for at least a couple hours. When he was ready to leave, the wife even made him come in and have breakfast with us. Anyone care to guess what the major topic of conversation was?....... What's that?...... OBS trucks?..... Ding! Ding! Ding!....... Correct!
Seriously.... It was great meeting and talking in person. Look forward to getting together again, and meeting others from the forum also. Lots of great people here.
Just realized I hadn't uploaded any pics of the old girl since I did a few updates to her, so here she is.
It was great meeting you and your wife Brian! Thanks again for breakfast! I'd like to get together again sometime. We're close enough it shouldn't be hard to do. I'll give you a call one weekend when I head down to Harbor Freight. I need to do that soon. And guys, let me tell ya.....Brian's truck is SWEEEET!!!
Thanks for all the compliments guys. The fender flares are Bushwackers. Step bars are N-Fab... Searched for those a long time before finally finding them at 4wheelonline.com
Brian, I can't tell for sure, but in your signature pic it looks like your truck had a brush guard on the front. If so do you still have it, and are you going to put it back on?
Very sharp truck man! I sometimes wish mine was black. Always thought that looked sharp, but the white thats on mine has grown on me. I know I'm talking to a bias crowd here but these OBS trucks are the best looking truck IMHO.

Reason: Cause I can't spell to save my life
Yeah Bill. It used to have a rusty chrome brush guard on it. That was until I T-boned a 94 chrysler concorde and sent it to the scrap yard. I would love to have a new one for it, but I haven't found one I like in stainless. No more chrome for me. Rusts too bad.
Thomas. I have wished many times that my truck was white. Black shows every speck of dirt and dust. Last fall, when we painted it, I came very close to painting the bottom part white from the upper body line down.
I struggled with the decision for a while. I'm sure I would have liked it, but decided it would change the looks of it too much.
That's the bad thing about the chrome ones, they rust so bad. One of these days I'm gonna build another bumper and incorporate a brush guard and winch in it this time.
