How rare is the intermittent wiper option? Neither of my trucks came with it. I've been looking for a while. I finally found one last week. Got it in my F250. Then yesterday I found 3 more at the junkyard. When it rains, it pours I guess. I bought one for my F100. I'm just wondering if I should go back and get the other 2?

Reason: spelling
They are nice to have but I wouldn't say super rare because people are always coming cross them in the junk yards etc. (whether the be the 70's ones or 80's).
That being said if you can get the other 2 cheap enough they would be worth throwing up in the classifieds here for people that don't have a junk yard close by or wouldn't have time to go find one. You can probably make a few buck on them or keep them as spares.
I would say not all that rare. I got one from a mid 80s F150 for my 77 and they are just short of plug and play. Then when at the junk yard I got to carrying a pair of pliers in my back pocket. Seems everyone is after the dash cluster and they pull off all the *****. When I come across a dent I grab my pliers and test the switch. I have 2 or 3 out of late 70s as they only were charging me 2.99 each for them. Funny thing is they also work in my CJ7 Jeep if it has a 4 wire motor and they are almost plug and play in a Jeep too.
Anyone know what years and models this part can be found on? Sounds like 73-86 F-series? Or is it up to 1991?
What mods are needed to use an 80s set up?
Just to clarify, the '73-79 wiper switch and relay is plug and play. If you get it from a 1980 and up, the washer pump wire needs to be moved in the plug.
WOW! that ended at 19:03 PDT with nine bids and the winner took it for $59.28 plus shipping which the price is not listed. Could make a side business out of that kind of stuff!!
You dont even have to move the pin, Just plug in the two wire connector (the one with the black with green tracer washer pump) in backwards ( It will) and you are good to go.
