I've gor a 60 F250 4x4. I just had a blown seal in the master clyinder (had fluid leaking onto the floorboard under the brake pedal), so I bought a rebuild kit for it. Replaced the rubber seal that sits on the large end of the spring and the plunger(?). hooked everything back up & bled brakes, and still nothing. Pedal has resistance on it, but goes all the way to the floor every time I push it. Seems like maybe there's not a good seal inside the master cylinder? FYI - the kit also came with a new strainer-looking piece, but I re-used the origional because the new one looked a little different. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
If it's leaking you should be getting fluid on the ground or somewhere. Could be a bad hose somewhere ballooning when you press the pedal. Can you remove a line from the master cylinder and see if it forces fluid out?
Got it! Just had to bleed the brakes A LOT more. Not working great, but just as well as before the master cylinder went out. Thanks for the ideas guys.

After I did my disk brake conversion, I got mine bled just enuff to stop me. Then I took it to the local NAPA here and had them go through the system to double check it to make sure I didn't miss anything and had them replace the rear wheel cylinders and bleed the brakes. It cost less than 70 bucks so it was worth it...
