93 chevy truck seat installed

I picked up a 93 chevy truck seat Friday from a salvage yard for $100. It does need to be reupholstered, but that was expected.
It fits really well but the only problem I have is the lh bolts , because I'm using the stock gas tank, the bolts aren't easy to get to.
I was able to get the rear bolt in from underneath by the braille method. I was able to get my hand between the tank and cab enough to push the bolt up through, while my wife put the nut on from inside.
We didn't try to get the front one, because I'm going to pull the seat anyway to get it redone. My wife might be able to get to it from the gas sender inspection hole. If not, I might have to cut a hole in the floor close to the bolt hole to access it.
I really don't want to pull the tank out

It sits nicely into the back of the cab & gives me quite a bit of leg room.

I tried to get to bolt from the inspection hole but my hand is to big.

I hope you find it comfy, I had one in my 95 Sierra and it killed my back on short trips...

I hope it will be ok...I went with this for the leg room. I had a 96 Silverado xtra cab that had some real nice fat & comfy buckets in it. Power with lumbar adjustment. Way more comfy than my 2017 GMC.

Thank you for posting this, that's a good idea raising it up some. The way I have mine mounted it does seem a little low for me, but my wife likes it the way it is now.
Buckets are out because she wants to sit next to me like when we started dating in it.

Now that sure sounds like a good woman to me...

My grandson does not like my "bucket seats" one bucket from Lowes and the other a paint bucket...

Looks great!

Have you considered rivet nuts or "nutserts"? Similar to the hood bolt repair kits MidFifty and others sell:

These would probably work but, I think I should have some nice big fat washers on the bottom side of the sheet metal where the bolts go thru the floor,
