Hello Everyone--
--I'm new to the forum, but have a question about my 2003 Ranger (4x4), 4.0 engine.
--I can't get the dome light to go off. I've checked the light switch to make sure it is not in a position to make it stay on and it isn't. The light has stayed on all night before so I removed the bulb to keep it from killing the battery.
--I can't find a door switch that controls the light when I open the door. Any suggestions as to what the problem is and how I can find the door switch or button control so I can change it out?? My Haynes manual is no help.
The dome light switch is built into the door latch mechanism. Can't see it unless you pull door panel. Have heard of people using wd40 with the wand attached to spray into mechanism from the outside to make it work properly.
Thanks 03 Maz B23--Thanks for pointing me in the right direction--I wasn't even sure where to look. I'll pull the door panel and work from there. Will let you know what happens.
