Jesus that must have taken you like 20 minutes to write up.
Fordtuf, I do like that idea a lot! I will keep that in mind when purchasing the stack or stacks i decide on.
ford 62,
Thats the plan is do to it right and have it very clean and professional looking, and work with the truck. I don't plan on doing 90 past anyone, i got rid of a mustang i had that i raced at the track, i got my goin' fast fix lol. like i said it's a truck not a race car Thanks for the input. it's appreciated.
And CDR valid point thanks aswell.. i doubt any bashing will ever stop lol but people like you can come around with the positive word!
Ricer used to mean that you owned a JAPANESE/CHINESE/KOREAN made car. How that translated to diesel ricer ( Diesel, american-made truck owner) I don't get. Most of you 30 + year olds (kids or adults, whatever you call yourselves) remember the 80's when thats what ricer mean. If I'm not mistaken, it really started in motorcycle circles more than cars at that time during the start of the crotch rocket era of motorcycles.
Sure, you can make fun of me or my truck, but remember, I can make fun of you too......But, the way I make fun of you is a little different than the way you'd make fun of me or the OP.........
I'd probably smile and chuckle a little as I filled your cab up with smoke for making fun of me......
Hey, don't get mad, I'm just "Pokin a little fun at ya"....... Turn-about is fair play, right???
In all seriousness though, it's not about what we like.........It's about what the OP likes. For me, I think in/on some applications, a stack/stacks look ok, but on others, I don't really care for it too much. I don't have any desire to cut a hole in the bed of my truck, so no stack for me, but as they say......"To each his own"
And BTW, no, I wouldn't fill your cab up w/ smoke.......I save that for the guys that drive the 1990 Honda Civics w/ a fart can and think that I'm gonna waste my time racing them......."I won't race ya, but I've got a nasty little surprise for you........."
Stick to stacks, and the discussions thereof. If you don't like em, I guess it's ok to say so, but why? The OP asked a valid question and got some good answers, and some not so helpful answers. FTE has been one of the rare forums where I see people actually going out of their way to help each other. I hope it stays that way.
That said, I already stated I like the looks of a stack or two on our trucks. I would never have one on mine, that's just not me at all. But I fully support those who do like them, and just want to say: It's your truck, dagnabbit, and your money too. Have fun!
