Single stack?

I've got an 06 PSD king ranch... thinking about maybe throwin a single stack on her. Any recommendations on a brand or maybe doing 2 stacks? Also how much would the install be?

If anyones bored also i don't have photoshop anymore heres a pic of my truck if anyone wants to photoshop a black stack in my truck? it would be greatly appreciated!

With you truck I would go with a single stack and have it black. I think it would look great. Personally big lifted trucks should have dual stacks, stock trucks should have a single stack IMO.

Couple links I found:

SBS Diesel Performance Single Stack system

Midnight Black Aussie Stacks [Midnight Black Aussie] - $179.99 : SBS Diesel Performance:, Custom Stack headquarters

They list installation for a single stack for $100. Not too bad. That'll be about what you can expect to pay, maybe a bit more depending on your area.

Please exit the stack above the cab. There are a few trucks in my area that have huge single stacks (exit at or below cab level) and fuel dumper tunes. At traffic lights they blanket everyones vehicles and nobody can see.

A single 4 or 5 inch would look cool. Anything bigger is gonna look stupid and kill performance. There's a kid down the street that has dual 12" (yes, 1 foot) black miter cut stacks. Looks more like a clown car.

generally Im not a fan of stacks in any fashion, but I think your truck would EASILY pull off a black single stack.

You ARE aware that the diesel guys that put ginormous stacks through the bed and intentionally "roll coal" in traffic thanks to a craptacular tune are the new ricer crowd, right?

...and it's a good thing your truck is black because after you have your stack installed and go out in the morning after a heavy dew or just some rain and start the truck you'll have a nice plume of black, sooty rain to come cascading down onto your truck.

Good thing is you earn extra cool points if family members happen to be standing near the truck when you start it.

Well personally dont care for the stacks but if I were to put some one, I think the duals look better. I dont care for having them in the center of the cab and blocking viewing. The duals arent that much harder to install and place the pipes well out of viewing.

Soooo right about the black sooty rain. I had a 350 Cummins in one of my big trucks with a pretty 8" chrome turnout stack. Not only would the black goop drool down the stack but anything within hearing distance would get a nice protective coating of diesel soot after any rain or slightly wet night. I guess you could hang a gallon tomato can upside down any time you park, or put on a rain cap that will clink and clatter any time you slow down. Enjoy!

Motor-man,
Thats exactly what i was thinking, and love the look of your truck with it. That's how i want to do mine. Thanks!

As far as the rain part, on an old dodge forum I used to go on i used to look around at the diesel section some and remember reading something about having a small hole drilled at the bottom of the exhaust below the bed so water could leak through that and not collect. Any other ideas on this?

The hole drilled at the lowest point will let out most of the water. My experience trying that showed that it helped some but the soot on the interior of the stack still seemed to hold the moisture and blow chunks, plus the hole, besides being an exhaust leak, was a rust magnet.
