Yesterday, my 2002 F150 supercrew 136,000 miles 4.6 v8 I am assuming 4r70w tranny started slipping would be my best description. When starting from a stop the tranny will slowly increase speed as long as you keep RPM's below 2000, higher rpm's it like the the tranny lets go. Also while at a stop and you place it in reverse it jumps forward then is real jerky in reverse. If you baby it you can get up to speed but try to accelerate to pass and tranny drops out again. Tranny was rebuilt i think around 30,000 miles under warranty no service since, oil appears clean not burnt and no burnt smell. Any help would be appreciated is this possibly an easy fix or dead tranny????
If it is still under warrenty, go back to the shop and let them deal with it.
If not, still go back to that shop.
You likely have internal issues.
Some codes will not set a CEL lamp because they are intenal to the transmission.
All the PCM does is shift the transmision by controlling electrical solenoids to change the fluid flow routing.
If those malfunction, the PCM can detect that but not bad clutches or bands or other mechanical items somewhat to far removed from the electrical control.
This is a general FYI for you.
Good luck.
