Do you know any of the history of this truck? Engine changed out? Been in a wreck? I have never seen anyone have this problem, though you might want to search the late model superduty forum above.

Sounds like someone has been messing with you........maybe switched the BrakeLight wire from the Brakes system to the Windshield Wiper motor.

Cant say for sure but sounds like a ground fault in the multi function switch. Ive replaced a lot of multifunction switches on superduty for ground faults but it usually will have other issues like a buzzing relay under the dash until you hit the brake pedal. Otherwise I would suggest checking all harness grounds for a loose one.

Never been in a wreck, oringinal motor. Today it is not doing it. I notice it after i installed a back up camera .With the screen plugged into the power outlet and in reverse the wipers would cycle. So i unplugged it then several days later the wipers would cylce. But today no problems.

This is getting a little hard for me to follow......lets try to recreate the sequence of events:

1-You've been driving the truck for some time and no trouble
2-You installed a Back-up Camera and noticed that when you hit the brake the wipers would cycle.
3-You un-wired the Back-up Camera and the trouble appeared to go away, and you could hit the brake and the wipers would not cycle
4-Several days later the problem returned without you having done anything else to the truck.....and now when you hit the brake the wipers cycle again.

Is this all true and in the correct order?........anything to add?

CABGx3 this is correct toady at 6:00 i took my kid to soccer practice no problems. Wipers did not cycle. I left at 8:00 to pick him up wipers did not cycle. Turned off the truck walked down to field walked back. When i started up the truck and drove down the road they intermittiant slow all the way home. About four miles.

Hmmmm........sounds to me like it might be a couple of things working in tandem.
1-Could be that your Wiper switch is not really turning OFF, but actually leaving the system in the LOW INTERMITTANT condition.
2-You also have some sort of an intermittant VACUUM leak.....this would cause the system to NOT cycle......then when the vacuum finally builds up, it does cycle.

I don't have a schematic, but if you have a fuze in your fuze block for the Wipers, pull it out and go a few days and see if that totally disables the cycling. If so, then probably you need to replace the Wiper Switch........and then I would inspect the Vacuum System for leaks.

I pulled the fuse while it was cycling and it stopped. I called the dealer this morning. They said kinda sounds like the GEM module but not for sure with out looking at it. It will cost $70 to diagnois. The GEM cost is around $340 to $440 depending on vin #. So may be hard to find same one in salavge yard due to match by vin #. So mine is probably the most expensive my f250 is lariat. I think for now i will just run a toggle switch inside the cab to the fuse under the hood and just kill the power there . In case it starts to rain and I'm pulling my 32 footer this weekend 4 hours away. Until next weekend when i can have some time to check a few of your reccomendations out .Thank you for your time. I will post later to let you know what i found.
