What did you do to the X today?

That's why I asked if what was pictured on that site was what he received. cause pictured is not OE Excursion accessory.
i drove the Excursion 250 miles today, and refilled the tank, cost me 140 to fill from just over a quarter.
And a co-worker re-inforced my liking to fords, when he sent me this gem, he has a Chevy 2500 Duramax he is always talking up about, and i know he likes to think he is a hot dog in it.
Well, not anymore, he thought he blew out the torque converter and has been without a vehicle working from home for a week now, the shop finally called and sent him this, and asked what he was doing to cause this.
See attached video, he was not towing or anything when this occured, just driving like a jackass, racing and going WOT, letting off, Going WOT again, and suddenly a bang, and no more power to the wheels, looks like the torque converter is the least of his worries, thinking he is looking for a whole new transmission now.

I made a list of things to do on the Ex:
- Swap out snow tires for summer rubber
- patch/plug the screw in the winter tire
- Install rear sway bar (finally got one from salvage yard!)
- try a different COP on cyl #9
- re-build tailgate hatch lock tumbler
- attempt repair hatch actuator (doesn't move far enough to engage lock)
- try to find vacuum leak (already capped the 4x4 lines)
- put lower dash panels back on and close up steering wheel covers
- add a 12v port in third-row somewhere for both kids can plug in their gizmos
- stop reading FTE because it only generates a longer to-do list....

Question for he masses...
Sorting through the junk X I bought, got the junk rims/tires on, but I found that the front lugs are not the same as the rear. The rear are the 14 x 2. but the front is not. The OE lug nuts that I took off were original, but were the proper size or thread pitch for the fronts. This is causing a small issue with the junk rim centric lug nuts, can't get the wheel tight for now. Found this thread saying maybe they are a 14 x 1.5. But the change date doesn't seem to jive with this year. I'm thinking the front axle might been a swap out from another year, or SuperDuty? To me the front pumpkin looks larger.

Top group of nuts fit the front, bottom fit the rear

My guess as well. I have different thread pitches front and rear due to my axle swap, some year I’ll get around to swapping in the matching older front axle……….
