If the duck bill is on the return line it will be file. What is the capacity of your tank? If it is a 38 gal, then 15" should be the correct measurement, if it is a 30 gal I don't know for sure. You will only suck air in on the suction line.

Well before I went ahead and dropped the tank today I decided to remove my filter in the valey to watch the fuel flow into the housing. To my suprise there was no air coming into the housing. So then I crawled back under the truck and my racor filter was almost completly full. Yesterday when I was looking at it it was only about half way full. So I think what I was seeing was only the fuel dumping into the half full filter and was making what looked like air coming in to the filter. Does that make sense. I figured if there are no bubbles coming into the housing in the valey then it should be fine. I also bleed the line going to my fuel guage to see if air in the line was making the pressure jump around. The last time I drove it my pressure was right at 58psi and would still drop to 50 under heavy acceleration. The truck still doesnt seem to run any better though.
