Newb here! After searching for a reason why my horn did not work on my 86, I found the horn bar broken, and the relay not working. Just got back from a wrecking yard with a horn bar, and a new relay from the parts store. Horn works great now. And to my suprise, I now have cruise control!!!
I had done quite a bit of searching on this forum and found that the relay is sometimes a problem. Thanks for the help whoever you are!!!!
By the way, I have a super cab with jump seats, will a rear bench fit right in (the donor I got the horn bar had a nice rear bench). Just curious, my kids are getting kinda big for the jump seats.
I used to have a mustang with a broken horn ring, that would occasionally honk randomly at cars while running around town. I got a ton of dirty looks when it would go off for nothing lol.
I'm pretty sure you will be ok bolting in the bench seat, there aren't any space considerations that i'm aware of. Just make sure you grab all the brackets and the appropriate trim pieces at the same time.
