The specs I have are 266HP@4600 and 390 ft/lbs@2600. These are what I pulled off a web page so I can't verify the accuracy. It sounds about right though. I thought the power was a little less and the torque was a little more.

These specs are from the '71 Truck service spec. book and the dealer's brochure agrees.
Those specs are close to the '70 car 390.
Hey, did you know that the '71 390 for the cars and trucks are the same? That's why I remember seeing the T manifolds on cars,they must have been '71's, it's all making sense now.

Like I said a much more reliabe source. I didn't know that about the cars and trucks having the same specs. It does definitely explain the T manifolds.
I knew the '71 car and truck 390 used identical cams but looking closer, everything is identical. About the only differences are the carb, air cleaner, exhaust manifolds and oil filter adapter.
