not that I know of. I'm pretty sure all stepsides were shortbeds. Could be wrong tho, wouldn't be the first time

Yes, and my they are ugly. But they are ugly in a way that only a true Ford Truck person can love them. I have seen a few long bed stepsides on Highboy F250's and a few on F100's. When you see a lowside utillity box one of these Fords, look closely as they ususally took off the rear fenders and bolted tool boxes directly to the sides of the stepside bed. They usually go unnoticed by upon closer inspection you will see the stepside bed. There is a red 67 or 68 Highboy in the gallery from Wisconsin with a stepside bed.

And I'd tend to agree with ya, Ugly, but in a very loveable way

I OWN a 1977 longbed stepside. I happen to think it looks pretty good. I can post a pic if you want.

I would love to find one with the utility toolboxes. I have seen a few and even owned one in Anchorage a dozen years ago but the rust had gotten to it kind of bad.
I saw a faded blue 71 F-250 long stepside parked behind this nice house a couple miles out of town. For a year I kept thinking I should stop and see about it and then it was gone. My favorite junkyard has one on an early 60s model but iy is pretty trashed.

Are these longbeds 8' or 9 1/2' beds?

Almost all 8 footers. I have seen 9 foot pickup beds but not on a 67-72 Ford. I had a 58 with a 9 footer but it was wide. And I have seen 2 other ones like it. When I was a kid we had a neighbor with an early 50s chev 1 ton that had a 9 foot stepside. And chevy/GMC had one for a year or two around 1970 that was a standard 8 ft wide bed with a piece added to the front to make it longer. I am not aware of any others.

Don't know of a site... except here.

Here's the payloads from the '71 pickup brochure. The 9 ft. beds in the yellow row are F350 Flaresides (stepsides) only, the others cover both the Flaresides and Stylesides.

And here's the engines for '71

Hmmm... these scans sure looked better before uploading

Does this exclude the dually F-350s? Has anyone ever seen one of these 9 ft. stepsides?

Thumbs up long box stepside

My grandfather had a 1969 F-250 2-WD stepside. I don't mean any disrespect to anyone out there, but THIS one was one ugly truck. It was faaaaded red, had great big tall bias tires and was ugly. But you know, it was still a '69 Ford, and to this day I would rather have that truck, rather than a 2004 Chevrolet!

I was thinking yesterday after reading this and I happened to remember a wrecker that a Ford dealership In Newcastle, Wyoming had. I think it was a 1964, 9 foot stepside dually It had extra wide rear fenders and they looked factory but it is the only one I have ever seen.
