Will This Bellhousing Work
I have a t10 and a t5 trans. a local guy has a bellhousing off a factory 80's f150 manual trans that was on a 302. he said it was a cast bellhousing. is it worth my time to drive an hour away to check or is it unlikely. i dont have the t10 handy to bring it along.
does anybody know what bellhousings are inter-changeible?
I thought the t5 and the toploader are the same but the t10 and the toploader were dif. i dont know.

T10 has GM and Ford CAR applications.
Toploader has Ford car applications as originally installed, but an OD version exists that was put in trucks. The input shaft length MAY be different than the car versions.
T5 Ford car application has a much longer input shaft, requires machining or an adaptor.
Ford bells differ in depth about 1/2" iirc between car and truck bells.
Can he read you the casting number and any other numbers off that bell?
