ac problem

ac problem
i have a 2000 f350 7.3 sd that is having a problem i cant get fixed. the ac will just stop running on occasions and start back after awhile. have replaced fan, relay, and resistor. is there a switch that cuts off the ac if the radiator overheats a bit? the temp gauge is running in the same spot it normally does. usually happens when truck if left running but not being driven. thanks, daryl

Check the spacing on your compressor clutch. There is an excellent thread on that subject in this forum.
