Jose, are you in need of a new pump? Is the "Duralast just a spare back up? I'm not sure what the problem is if in fact there is a problem.
Rog

Why .. really I want to know? I'm not knocking Ed's OEM product but where is the data indicating Blue Diamond is superior? There is nothing in this thread that has indicated that. I will always support our sponsors but think a lot of users go with reconditioned water pumps ($ thing) .. Hugh mistake and they may not want to admit it.
My factory pump lasted 255k miles. If the Blue Diamond pump is OEM quality then I'd say it's a dang good pump. I would have gotten an OEM pump for my F-150, but i got a higher output pump instead.
well, as usual in my life, I had to change my decision. initially I had the time to wait for a pump from Ed, but things changed this morning and I had to pull the trigger becuase I need my truck tomorrow afternoon, so I will put it on first thing in the morning and go from there, I hate that I couldn't wait because I really wanted the pump from Ed, I hope I don't regret it later down the road, but I need the truck so what can a guy do? I am going to put a coolant filter once I get my parts together, so hopefully that will help the life of the pump, it's just frustrating because Ed has a killer dealer on the pumps right now too!! oh well sorry Ed

data? Blue Diamond is the company that is in the Joint venture with Ford and International. Blue Diamond is the OEM supplier for all Ford Diesel parts on the 6.9, 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, if I slapped a motorcraft label on the pump and charge you a extra $100 it would still be the same pump
