Does anyone know the differences between the Motorcraft SP507 and the SP515 plug? They are both listed for the year, make, and model of my truck which is a 2004 FX4. Also, have either of these plugs been redesigned to a 1 piece plug? Thanks in advance,
Matt
I do not know of any difference between them but would guess one of them has been redesigned into a one piece plug. I would call a Ford parts department and ask them there has to be a difference other then one is more expensive.
I would think it's probably just a heat range difference vs a one peice design. The main reason for the price difference is the SP507 is a stock item and the SP515 is not. Since it's really a special order item, they can't offer the better pricing (volume discount) that they can with the SP507.
Platinum verses "Double Platinum" per another forum post. Not sure if other differences exist or how much this one difference buys you, but it is the only plug my dealer offered.
