Edge evolution programmer
Hello i got a quick question for you. I want to purchase Edge evolution programmer for my 2003 Ford F-250 5.4 I noticed on the website they dont have any gas programers for the F-250 but they have the 5.4 motor programer on the F-150. My question is will the programer for the F-150 work on my truck? being they both are the 5.4

I would guess not. I don't know for sure, of course, but I would suspect the 5.4 in the F-250 probably has different programming than the 5.4 in the F-150. It probably also has a different transmission, which would have different programming for sure.

Heard great stuff about 5-star and their custom tunes for the V10, I'm sure they could do good stuff with the 5.4L as well.

I had an Edge for my Duramax. It was a piece of junk with all kinds of quirks and bugs. And my experience was better than most people I've talked to. I will never use their products again. It seems to be a trend that wherever you go there are always people with bad experience with Edge products, often putting them in dangerous situations with the vehicle shut down and unresponsive.

I've had an Edge Evolution since shortly after I bought the truck. I have had one problem with custom programming options and one problem with a bad thermocouple, both of which were fairly easily resolved.
Other than that, it's worked flawlessly.

I called.. he didnt think it would work. but was very helpfull. so im not gonna gamble with my money.. Im heading up to my home state next week to get my horse. Im just looking for somthing that will help my truck pull the horse and the trailer. and money is tight. I was going to buy the edge off a buddy of mine but we didnt know if it would work or not so thats why i called. Thanks for all your help. Ill search this forum to see if there is anything i can do to my 5.4 to help her tow.
I wish I would of gotten a diesel or the V10 but I was deployed when the wife bought the truck so I really didnt have a say in it lol. Cant get rid of the truck either the truck is upside so im stuck with her. She has been a good truck. Its just a 2003 Ford F-250 XL 5.4L nothing fancy.. Doesnt even have a CD player (Yet) Once again thanks for your help.

Consider a numerically higher gear set for the axles. More torque to the ground and quicker acceleration. You would have to do the gear swap yourself or the cost could run up pretty quickly.
