Im having an electrical problems!! Fuse #23 Isnt getting any power... So in turn my engine control systems and pcm arnt getting any power so it wont start. Where does # 23 get power from??? A relay maybe? Or a fusible link?
humm fuse 23...is this a 30 amp fuse?
what year is your truck, mine is a 2000 and fuse 23 is the blower motor fuse.
if you are blowng a 30 amp fuse and the pcm has no power chances are your fuel bowl heater is shorted. just unplug it, replace the fuse and you should be alright.
Are you getting the wait to start light with the key on? If not the fuel bowl heater probably shorted out. I would go through all your fuses. What year is your truck?
No I get the wait to start light. And fuse 22 on mine is the fuel bowl one. #23 is engine control. And the fuse isnt blown. its just not getting power... and i cant figure out where it draws power from....
In the 5th printing owners manual it says for fuse 23 engine control (gas engines only). Shows 22 as engine control as well. Not very specific. Maybe someone has wiring diagram of the fuse box. How are you determining no power to pcm. If pcm had no power you would not get a wait to start light unless more than one fuse for the pcm.
hhhmm... Im so lost on this stupid thing and i need to get to work. When i jump power to it i can read the computer with my scanner and when i un jump it, it goes dead...
I could be way out in left field here but I could swear that I saw in a schematic somewhere that the inertia switch not only cuts power to the fuel pump but will cut power to the PCM.
So just for giggles have you checked the inertia switch?
What and where is a inertia switch?? I have an airdog wired into a different fuse on my truck so i wouldnt know if this went bad...
And I'll check out the prints now. Thanks alot!!
inertia switch is a switch that cuts power to the fuel pump if you get in an accident, it is located inside the passenger side kick panel and has a reset button on it...kind of like a circuit breaker.
I couldn't pull up the 2002 on the ecohost site? Assuming that is true I would check with the pcm relay for B+, key power, and ground with the relay unplugged. Looks like it outputs vpwr to the pcm. Also, try swapping that relay with the blower motor relay.
