I am looking at an old Ford Econoline truck. The VIN data plate is missing from the drivers door. The title states the VIN as "E10TH457496" and the year as 1967. Can anyone decipher and/or confirm the VIN? Is there any other "accessible specific" locations they stamped the VIN on these trucks? Thank you for any and all help.....
Thank you very much for the information! As you can tell I am new to the site and I posted my initial question in the wrong area. As far as the VIN being on a bracket next to the tailight, do you remove the tailight assembly to see it or look from underneath the bed of the truck? Thank you.
The brace is the metal brace that goes from the outer panel at an angle to the truck box endgate frame or door frame of a van. The number is usully stamped on it facing inwards where you can easily see it if not covered by paneling or stuff. If you P.M. me with an email address. I have a pic of one to show you where to look.
It usually is on the left one, but they are at times found on the rightside also.
This brace goes across behind the taillight.
