Standard OBDII scanners are not compatible with Powerstrokes.
You have to buy one that specifically states it's Powerstroke compatible.
A popular one that many (including myself) use on this forum is Autoenginuity. If you have a laptop, it will work. You do have to buy the "Ford Bundle" in order to make it work with the Powerstrokes.
