Hey guys, anyone in the Tampa Bay area of FL with a code reader? Or maybe know where to get one at a decent price? Got a SES light that comes on while driving after it warms up and its causing havoc on the performance. A code reader or a lead on what to check would be helpful!
wow had no idea there were so many! lol Sheldon that would be great! Im going on a trip to NY this coming monday night and driving up so im hoping to have it fixed by then. ill message you with my number. Izzy, maybe we can all get together for a few!
All I have is an old Superchips programer to read codes. I would be happy to give you a hand if I ever get my truck out of the trans shop....
Thanks Franko, I may be able to meet up with Sheldon tomorrow. I'm going to NY on Mon night for bout a week and driving it up. So hoping to get it fixed by then!
When I first scanned Mike's truck, he had a whole slew of codes. A couple were regarding his ESOF setup, a couple were ICP codes, and a couple were EBPV codes. I cleared 'em all and we went for a drive. He doesn't have a tuner.
I had a good 5 mins. worth of data, but due to my own stupidity I accidently overwrote the file with just a few seconds of data. Here is what I captured:
After the drive, the only codes that returned were the ESOF solenoid code and the P1208 ICP code. The ICP appeared to have a little oil on the plug, but it wasn't a gusher like the really bad ICPs I've seen. Unfortunately I lost the WOT ICP data.
I haven't had a chance to monitor my own truck, but should he really be showing over 15 psi EBPV pressure when its 147 degrees outside? His CEL was on when he left my house. Anybody have any ideas? I'd be happy to meet back up with him and do some real monitoring if necessary.
Kent, I wanna thank you for your time and scanning my truck. With the truck throwing an ICP code and some oil starting to leak, I decided to go with getting a new one. Found one new on ebay for $50 so it wasn't THAT bad. Should be here either Fri or Sat. I shall let you know what happens what I put it in. Thanks again! Enjoy the gift. lol Thanks to all the rest of you as well!
