Aiming Driving Lights

Had to replace both driving lights because of broken brackets. The lights only adjust up/down. Any idea what a decent starting point is to get in the ballpark to aim them?

Thanks

I forget the distance vs height measurement, but pull another vehicle up and shine them on your garage door, or any wall from a distance of 20-30 feet, mark it, then pull your truck up and adjust them to the same height. Don't try to use a Mini-Cooper, but an SUV or your buddies truck will work.

A good starting point is for the top of the bright spot to be 4" below the center light height at 25 feet.

the correct way to check head lightis,
1 place truck 10 feet away from a dark wall (light color wall wont show hot spot)
2 measure from ground to hot spot of head light
3 on wall hot spot should be 2 in. lower then truck

this is my rmv stanards

The standards are different for every state, and I think most use 25 feet. The further away you are, the more accurate you can be.
