Need some input

Alright guys here's the story, I went down yesterday to try and start my truck up for the first time, everything was going good got 3 really good cranks out of her, and then I tried for the fourth crank and my batteries died on me, so I thought it was the alternator, I got the alternator checked that night and it checked out fine so I'm guessing I had a bad ground on the alternator and that's what drained my batteries, (so I think that's fixed), but I also noticed that my glow plug light never came on.

So I guess what I'm asking you guys is what could have drained my batteries that fast and why isn't my glow plug light coming on?

Could it just be bad grounds on both or did I &%$@ up and didn't hook something up right?

I'd say close to a year.

I am assuming that you charged the batteries fully. How long did you let it run between cranks.

What do you have for a homeade turbo setup.

Both batteries where charged fully, and I cranked it for 4 seconds and then let it sit for a few minutes.

I don't have the turbo hooked to the intake yet, but it's a roto-master non wastegated turbo.

I used an ohmmeter and went from negative to the engine on both battery cables to check that I had good grounds, and also from the positive cable for each battery to the fender solenoid (with the batteries disconnected.) If the truck's been sitting for a year, chances are good that the fuel has all drained back and will need reprimed, I would be taking the filter off and filling with diesel kleen or fresh fuel.

I put on a new fuel filter and filled it with fuel then I flushed out the tank and put in fresh diesel.

I cracked all the lines and I was getting some fuel out of #1

As for smoke I have no clue I was in the truck and couldn't see any.

I think I would have had the truck running if my batteries didn't die on me.

Batteries dead after only three cranks, if those were say 15 second cranking sessions, your batteries are shot.
