Fan Shroud Question
. I have read most of the past posts on this shroud issue but did not see any mention of noise.During my F250 SD cylinder head rebuild job, the shop asked if I wanted the shroud on or left off. Having fought with the belt and tensioner in the past I went with the no-shroud option.
Now I have the truck back on the road and its 100 degrees outside, the cooling fan is running intermittently at full speed and is really noisy. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the fan makes any more noise with the shroud off than on ? I really don't remember it being that loud before.
Thanks PB
I took my stator off and never hear my fan kick on. And its well over 100 degrees here in Missouri with 90% humidity. And i tow regularly.
So you may have other issues.
