Help outer U -joint

Help outer U -joint

how the hell do I get the u joint to come out took hub all off and snap rings off of caps but still can not figure it out D-50 96 250 4x4

Take the spindle off and pull it out of the d50. If it's the passenger side there is a rubber boot on the shaft. I think you may have to take the clamp off of that boot then pull.

Well with the D 50 once you pull on the stub it should come out of the pumpkin leaving you with a wimpy little axle shaft that has a u joint in it. I don't know if there's a way to change the joint with it in the diff. When I pulled mine out it was pretty easy to get em out and changed(mostly because I took the two shafts to a machine shop and had them press out and in the joints for me!) But I figure even if you wanna do it yourself it is still easier. Put the shaft in a vice or get a big c clamp and the right sized socket and push that old joint out.
