exhuast & stuff help

i just inherited a 01 ford f150 four door. theres already custom mufflers frm the owner before me, i was wondering what is the LOUDEST mufflers or exhuast system for my truck....

also suggestions for a cold air intake and other things to make it faster/louder.

total noob, help appreciated

straight 3 inch pipes. no cats. will be EXTREMELY loud. with a 3(4) speed transmission, it gets old fast.

nope. i never looked into mufflers. all i did was take mine off and i fell in love with the sound.

I have a 1999 F-150 SuperCab with 4.6. Just installed a glass pack muffler in mine. Straight pipe was to loud and glass pack made it sound just right.

I would say, try it straight and see if you like it if not, slap a glass pack in.
