Why? What are you expecting to gain. Noise? Horsepower? Fuel economy?

Your restriction is at the Y-Pipe. Want more noise, i agree remove your muffler.

Take the muffler out, it'll be plenty loud, believe me.

Had a F250 that went catback with cherry bomb Y pipe and two 4 X 12 tips. Sounded sweet.

I have a 2004 X V10. My Cat is HUGE! I don't think it is holding up the flow any.

I wouldn't mess with the expensive cat, just get a big straight through muffler. Don't they check for smog where you live?

I recently cut out my muffler expecting to get a better looking tail pipe and maybe get a better sound. I got both by doing this, Pics bellow.

No we don't have smog checks here. Wife doesn't want it to loud and just wants a little more out of it. And when I do my manifold bolts I'm gonna have the shop change my y pipe
