Okay Dave, I know this is my third post in a row, but.
I did some searching and it looks like we will have the 5th most posts for our BS thread out of all the states and provinces. PA has like 3500, Texas has 2600, NY has 1800, and thanks to Steve, the NJ thread is 1650. If you look back a year, it was really sad in here, so fifth is really good.
There is a lot of states with less than 100 posts for the month though.
Hows everyone doing? Tom? Been a while since i've had some time to get on here!
Thanks to Mike my truck is still running strong with almost 10k after the rebuild. Still have a pesky oil leak somewhere around the rear main seal though! Many nights with the goggles on under the truck with no success. haha.
Dave, I decided it'd be better to start off with a truck that I can use right away, almost, rather than one that's at least a year off. Also, the first one was pretty far gone. In my hunting, I found a couple of 80's flatbed F-350's. I picked up an 84 with 6.9l diesel. I'm actually potentially going to trade my van for the other one, a 89 with 460. I like the bed off the 89 and all the new parts on the 84.
It may still require some maintenance here and there. For instance, I'm already invested into a new steering gear and steering shaft. I may just do the ball joints and tie rod ends, while I'm at it, leaving less to chance.
