Good evening everbody, it is another craptastic day in my world. YAY!! Oh well, tomorrow is another day.

Definately do the Tugger if you are going to do it Jay. That is what is in mine, along with a .427" line pressure modulator valve, which firms up the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. I also have the pump mods but doubt you want to go that far into it.

Thanks Dave.

Jay, here is some info on the line pressure modulator valve from Sun Coast's website It says in the text that it is a .472" valve but it is really a .427" valve Sun Coast Converters Diesel Transmissions, Fort Walton Beach FL

This .472 valve gives you firmer shifts over the stock .372 valve. Some E4OD, 4R100 transmissions have soft 1-2 or 2-3 shifts, intermittent harsh shifts or poor line rise complaints. These can be caused by ECU (electronic control unit) or accumulator pressure problems and shows up when HP is added. Severe wear of the line pressure modulator sleeve allows EPC (electronic pressure control ) oil to leak past the valve and cause soft shifts. Severe wear can also cause the valve to stick or hang up, causing harsh shifts. Sun Coast offers three size variations of the line pressure modulator sleeve and valve kit that eliminate this oil loss problem.

I think the Sonnax version of that is only around $30 so well worth the extra. One of the guys in the thread that I linked talked about that or the .500 valve

Yeah, I don't know them well enough to dive in head first, especially on someone elses trans. If it was mine, I might attempt it. Now, valve body mods, that is OK.

Not much happened, we went to Tanya's grandmas funeral today, and a few other minor things I did(or didn't do) have got me a little down. No big deal, tomorrow will be better, hopefully.

Good to hear about the Twins, I don't have FSN so I have to wait for the crawl updates on ESPN to see the score.

Here's a .427" valve for under $23, looks to be supplied by Sonnax. E4OD, 4R100, Valve body kits, Bulkpart transmission parts

A .500 valve might be overkill for our trucks, I think it would be better suited in a truck making more power than we are with just a chip. Now, if you are planning hybrids, a 38R(or a modded H2E) then yeah, it would be the right choice.

EDIT: Thanks Jay, that means a lot to me.

No problem Mike. And I mean it. Just call if you want.

Thanks for that link. As much as I would like to build this truck it just isn't going to happen so a .427 it is! haha
