I got a new bolt, to replace the missing one on my exhaust manifold yesterday. I put it in, but still have the tick-tick-tick of an exhaust leak. When I looked at it from above today, there's a gap between the head and manifold. There looks to be a metal gasket that is on the other three, but missing from the top of #7.

Did International put gaskets on the 7.3? If so, I'll have to replace this one.

 

mine didnt have them but i put them on when i had the manifolds off

 

Maybe the PO put a gasket in there with the same problem you're having and didn't plane the manifold (slightly warped), sealed for a while and now leaks again. Just a thought.

 

As far as I know they didnt come with gaskets. Only in the last year or two did Ford come out with a part number for one. IH may have had one before that but im not sure
