Dual survival
ok, they are in the olympic peninsula. my old stomping grounds. i was raised in darrington washington and travel'd all over the area.
any way. cody is out looking for fish and comes acrost a " steelhead salmon" LMFAO!!!!!! steelhead, are rainbow TROUT that go to salt water and back to freshwater. funny thing is, is that they dont die after spawning.
and that" spruce tree" with the "pine resin"... why would a spruce have pine resin on the out side? looked to me like a **** fir. ( white fir )

Dual survival is apparently some kind of cable survival series.
I believe that he's describing some inaccuracies on the show. Not too surprising. Lots of shows are quite a bit off the mark.

We used to go camping in the Olympic Peninsula. One summer my dad hired a man with a boat to take us fishing. After reeling in a couple salmon we hooked a big ugly looking fish they call a quillback. The old guy handed me the fish bonker and said "if you can kill this one I'll give you a beer".

I figure I killed him pretty good but the man put a hook in him just to be safe. Beer wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
