1995 Ford F250 Wiring Harness
I have a 1995 Ford F250xlt 4x4, 351W, E4OD that caught fire due to the cruise switch shorting out.. There was only minor damage as we put it out with alot of bags of ice and some gatorade (melted the brake resevoir, some wires, fender well, and ruined some paint on the hood) All this happened a day after i got it licensed. But I'm trying to find the wiring harness that runs from the drivers side with the power distibution box, up to the lights then back around to the right side to the starter selenoid. I bought a harness from a Bronco and most of it worked but it didnt have the right plug in fo the trannie and another connector so it wouldnt shift and had no power to the radio and courtesy lights. So can anyone tell me whats harness will work without any mods and where i can find one? I tried my local salvage yards and didnt have one that matched. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks

You know, maybe it's just me but a harness out of a '95 w/ a 5.8-E4OD-4X4 combo would be what I would be looking for. Not sure if it makes a difference but you might want to make sure it's the same emissions package, too. (Fed/Cali)
This would probably eliminate the possibility of a wiring mismatch. I'm sure someone will come along and chime in here, proving me right or wrong.

I pretty sure that you need the '95 harness, if it has maf. In '96 I think it went to OBD2; or maybe it was '97, but in '94 it had speed density. Basically you have the odd ball. You also need to make sure it has the E4OD tranny.
If it doesn't have MAF, than '92 thru '95 with a E4OD will work.

My truck dont have the califonia emissions stuff and it does have an E40D trannie. And I'm almost postive they did they OBD2 switch in 96 and thats whats making this so hard to find. Most of the plugs matched with the bronco harness till I got to the trannie and it didnt have plugs in the power distribution box for trailer lights. (minor problem) Also the courtesy lights and radio didnt work with the bronco harness.

I have removed wiring harnesses for other purposes (Great trailer wiring package) from this year ford. Here was my source of supply. Prices were reasonable. Trucks in CA (a no rust state) get too repair costly because of the CS smog laws, so they are retired.
What I really like about these folks is that when you buy their motors you get absolutely everything related to that motor, wiring harnesses, PCM, sensors, etc. I am also not part of their business in any way.
