need pin-out diagram for Rear tail light harness

1995 F350

Anybody have or know where I can find a pin-out diagram for the plug on the Rear tail light harness?

I lost my rear running lights but I seem to have a running light signal at the plug but at the wrong pin. I'm really cunfused.

Front running lights and dashlight work so it's likely not headlight switch.

I'm about ready to just power the brown wire in the tail light harness off the trailer light harness. Yes it works along with everything else.

Don't have a location/pinout diagram. But you are correct, it's a darkbrown wire, which should lead to another darkbrown wire that then leads to a splice, and then a darkbrown wire to each taillight and a couple of darkbrowns to the license plate lights in the bumper.

What can be frustrating is using a voltmeter to check these light circuits. I bet you have a high dollar digital meter, and that's the worst thing you can use to check the lighting circuits, unless you can leave everything plugged up when you are checking.

The best thing to use if you want to unplug the harness and probe the wires, or poke the wire while it's still connected is a testlight. The testlight puts enough load on the circuit to indicate when you have a poor intermittent connection. A voltmeter, especially the nice ones, do not present enough load to the circuit, so they will show 12v with no other loads connected to the circuit.

Not using a DVOM just good old test light and batter powered continuity tester.

I must have a break in the brown wire somewhere between the fuse box and the tail light harness plug. I was hoping to see a pinout because I have what seems to be running light signal through a wire that looks to be light yellow in the chassis harness plug but that pin is not used at all in the tail light harness.

Instead of chasing down the break I cheated I pulled the signal from the trailer light harness and used it to power my taillights. I know I'll now be running off the fuse under the hood but I needed to use the old girl one more time before she gets put to bed for the winter.
