Does anyone know the correct location to put the backseat tether anchors in a 2001 F350 cc?
I spoke to 2 different parts guys at the ford dealership and one said they go in the rear wall behind the seat and the other said they go in the floor behind the seat.
I am thinking either place would work as long as its bolted down good, but wanted to confirm first before installing them
They are mounted just below the top of the seat back on the back wall on my 2002 CC. Bit of a pain to install the seat, but wouldn't even consider not doing it. SO much safer.
I ended up measuring where the 3 seats centers would be and then drilled new holes into the extra plating there and added extra big HD washers behind. I am sure you could haul a truck with the strength of them anchors now
Yes, I did have to explain to the first dude they should be free, it is in the owners manual.
I tried that as well.. FORD CS would not give them. They will supply them for up to year 2000 for free but NOT 2001
I spoke to the rudest CS rep at ford, then when requesting a supervisor, I was refused. They said they couldnt transfer me to anyone else even when I asked to speak to another CS rep. She FINALLY agreed to request a supervisor callback and then a WEEK later, finally got a callback. The supervisor didnt seem to care at all. I requested she listen to the call if they had it taped but she wouldnt.
I would NEVER buy a new ford truck after speaking to their CS.
