Just turned 7000 miles. If I run 70 mph on the freeway and use light throttle pressure to control speed I can get 22 or so. It takes more effort than I care to exert but I tried it just for fun. If I just drive it sensible, I get 20 all day long.

I have to say that is great mpg. if I can get my truck to stop going into regen every 85 to 90 miles maybe my mpg will go up.
I wonder if the horsepower flash is going to tweak the dpf regeneration logic. Maybe you'll notice a change after the flash in September?
I hope that works but if not as much as I like this truck I will get rid of it. I had the 6.4 and got rid of it for better fuel mileage and less regens. Ford has a great truck with the 6.7 but the regen cycle on my truck is not what they said it would be when I ordered it.
OK, I'll almost bet that the average is closer to 17-18. (10-12 loaded down) I'm going to buy 1 after they are proven but still like my 7.3. It gets 15 running 75 from N VA to NW PA and there are a lot of hard pulls on I 68 and I 79. That would be how you get a good average, come out and run with me and we'll fill at the same places and compare at the end of a trip. Computers lie.
I did the hand calc thing for several tankfuls. It was never off more than a half a mpg. That is close enough for me. I can miss the exact fill amount by enough to be that far off. I have driven 7.3's, 6.0's, 6.0 with a tuner and now this truck. This truck is hands down a better puller than any of my previous experiences. More power than my tuned 6.0 and better fuel mileage. I get 11.5 to 12 .5 pulling so you are close enough there. I'll keep proving it for you. I like my truck a lot.
Highway empty.....F350, CC, 4x4, 3.31 Locking, LB and a/c on at all times. Cleared the computer every fill up, mileage varied between 21.7 and 23.2, thru 5 tank fulls.
i am at the same point. my 7.3 is 15mpg pulling horses no matter the terrain.....from ky to va I average 15-16 mpg with some supplement and the blueridge mountains test my mettle going downhill more than up
I would love a dully.....it isn't a necessity So I am trying to weigh the fuel mileage difference.
Been itching for a new 11 after reviewing all the improvements. It would be nice to have the amenities even though my ol girl still out-pulls most of my friends when we have been on trips.
Hi Guys,
Missed the posting the past few days. Drove to Great Lakes from Co. 1100 miles, didn't take the truck, took my 2009 VW Jetta Diesel, 6 speed manual. Running 80 to 65 mph, got a little over 44 mpg. We attended my second grandson's graduation from Navy Basic Training. He's headed for Navy's Nuclear Power Program.
I only have 3700 on my 6.7 L, pulling a trailer I was able to get 12 to 14 on it. Around town I haven't been able to check. I am set up to be one of the first on the list to have mine updated. I will keep you posted on the change. I am looking forward to the improvement.

I'm not seeing the kind of milage that you guys are. I have a 107 mile commute each way and have been doing this for three months. I average from 14.5 to 16.5 doing 73mph on the way there and 75-77 on the way home. I did get 18mpg on the nuts going to Canada and back. 1000 mile round trip and slower speeds. If there is any wind it makes a big difference.
Mine is a SRW with a leer 700 on the back. 3.55 gears. I was getting around 18.7 at 70mph on average with 4-5k miles on the truck. I just got my magnaflow 5inch DPFback system put on and now on the highway with cruise control on at 70mph I did a 50mile run with some bridges up and down, etc. I averaged 20.9.
Im sure some of that might be from a little more break-in period but I would immagine i picked up like 1mpg off the exhaust. If you see the size diffrence in person its massive.
Also remember i got a fully decked out kingranch and that cover on the back is like 250lb-ish. Also had around 75lb of exhaust riding around with me because i hadnt pulled it out the back yet at that point. Im intrested in seeing what the new ford tune on the truck will do in terms of MPG. If i can manage to get 21.5 or 22mpg after that it would be great. Than im just waiting for my new airbox.

What are the temps outside when your driving around? Ive noticed my MPG takes a massive hit when the EXT on the ac controls say anything above like 101.
