powerstroke in 98 e350??
had a couple questions..are the motors in the vans basically the same as the truck? just curious to what the diff's are (98 e350).. and what is with the 98 powerstroke motors? there not listed on this forum goes 94-97 then 99-03 ?? were does the 98 fall? pre 99 or 99-03? thanks!

are you looking at build date on the sticker or model year on the registration? If it was built late 98 it would be a 99 model year.
I'm not well versed in van's so I don't know if there was an "early" 99 van.

Look on the sticker that is on the valve cover. The motors for our vans are the same as the "F" series except that the van has a different turbo and no intercooler. The year breakdown on the van is whether you have an early or late 99.
