E99 turbo question

I have a E99 F-350 I have made a few mods to my truck and now I feel it is time to get more turbo. My question is the intake/compressor wheel on the E99 the same as a L99/03 7.3?

The e99 compressor wheel is a WW1 which has the two different length blades on it. The later turbos had the SD compressor wheels in them. The SD wheels had trouble with surging when chipped and pulling. Many people put the 94-e99 WW1 in the later turbos to alleviate the surge but with the expense of some performance, mostly on max boost PSI. There are better options now. So to answer your question, no the compressor wheels are not the same...however one will fit the other. The better options would be the WW2, RiffRaff or any other billet CNC cut wheel. I had a WW2 in my E99 and I can say I gained 8 PSI, quicker spool and better drive-ability all the way around not to mention better EGT's. I was coming from a rather worn WW1 though. It would also be a good time to do the 360* turbo rebuild kit while you had it out. It is highly recommended not the use an impact wrench to get the compressor wheel off but rather remove the turbo to gain access to the turbine side of the shaft.
